1970.  First  Edition.  A  stylistic breakthrough book  for  the  poet
following  his award-winning Dream Song books and including his moving
"Eleven  Addresses  to the Lord." INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the poet  on
the  front  endpaper "To Marcos/very affectionately/&  gratefully  for
many  favours--/Have  a good summer!/John Berryman/Mpls/31 May  1971."
Less  than eight months later Berryman would commit suicide. Fine in a
close to Fine dustwrapper.                                    $1500.00
