1808. 12mo. 87,(3)pp. Engraved frontispiece. Printer's imprint at bottom of the
last page. Cont. red calf over boards, boards somewhat rubbed. Some light
text soiling. This copy previously owned by Joseph Moore ("book bought 1809")
and later one Hannah Moore. $275.00 (trade discount allowed)
Early American edition of this juvenile dog story, printed by the very
active Philadelphia woman printer whose imprints are found dated 1808-1861. This
title may in fact be her first printed book. Rosenbach, #370; Welch,
#723-4.
