Belmissero, Paolo (or, Belmisserus Paulus). ...OPERA POETICA. (Paris: Simon 
de Colines. 1534). 8vo. ff(4),108,(4). With the final blank. Full page 
woodcut on A1 recto, which is repeated on P4 verso (f.108). BOUND WITH: 
Belmissero, Paolo. ELEGIAE TRES EXHORTATORIAE ADBELLUM ADVERSUS TURCAS. Eiusdem 
Epithalamum in Nuptiis Henrici... No   place, publisher, or date but (Paris: 
Colines, 1533-1534). ff.(8). Old paneled calf, rubbed and worn, rebacked at an 
early date. Hinges starting to crack (cords holding soundly). Lower corner 
of front cover chipped. Some occasional text soiling. Two very scarce Colines 
imprints.     $2,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
I. A very unusual layout, with the title and text beginning on the verso of 
A1. The collected poetical work of Belmissero (1480-1547), a medical doctor 
and poet. See Renouard. DE COLINES, p. 223, where the woodcut is reproduced 
BL French STC, p. 45. Not in Adams.
II. Belmissero's long poem against the Turks. See Renouard. DE COLINES, p. 
415. Not in Adams of BL French STC.
These 2 works are both found separately, and bound up together.
