I can offer...

      [MAP - HOLY LAND].  Exquisite manuscript map of Palestine.  No 
place, no date, but mid-19th century.  13 3/4 by 9 1/2 inches to the 
neat lines, with decorative caption beneath, matted and framed (frame 
size appx. 21 by 15 inches).  With numerous place names, outline 
coloring, and decorative features like mountains and trees.  One small 
closed tear running from the caption to the lowest line of latitude, 
about 2 1/2 inches total, some slight wrinkling, but overall a lovely, 
clean image.
      A remarkably detailed map, obviously done by an accomplished 
student or cartographer--in one square inch I counted 20 identified 
locations.  The coloring of borders and the shading of the lakes is 
very skillfully done, and the hierarchy of geographic locations is 
achieved by the use of decorative letters for the larger entities.  The 
style of lettering in the caption suggest the high Victorian period.
