1. SYMONDS, J. A. A PROBLEM IN GREEK ETHICS. London: 1901. viii, 73
pp. Original green cloth. The first edition was published in 1883 in
an edition of only 10 copies with another edition of 100 copies
following in 1896. This edition of the earliest published defense of
homosexuality in the English language is a privately printed piracy
limited to 100 numbered copies, this out of series. Due to the
frequency with which this shows up, it is likely that the limitation
statement was fabricated. Some neat pencil underlining. A Fine copy
of an important book. $200.00
