1.  SYMONDS,  J. A. A PROBLEM IN GREEK ETHICS. London: 1901. viii,  73
pp.  Original green cloth. The first edition was published in 1883  in
an  edition  of  only  10 copies with another edition  of  100  copies
following  in 1896. This edition of the earliest published defense  of
homosexuality  in  the English language is a privately printed  piracy
limited  to  100  numbered  copies, this out of  series.  Due  to  the
frequency  with which this shows up, it is likely that the  limitation
statement  was  fabricated. Some neat pencil underlining. A Fine  copy
of an important book.                                          $200.00

2.  SYMONDS, John Addington. A PROBLEM IN GREEK ETHICS. London:  1901.
viii,   73  pp.  Rebound  in  full   polished  brown  calf  with  gilt
decorations.  The first edition was published in 1883 in an edition of
only  10 copies with another edition of 100 copies following in  1896.
This  edition  of the earliest published defense of  homosexuality  in
the  English  language  is a privately printed piracy limited  to  100
numbered  copies, this being #89.
In  a cloth dustwrapper and slipcase that uses the same marbled  paper
as the book's endpapers. A Fine copy of an important book.     $175.00
