Recently rebound in leather, with original cloth illustrated cover affixed to front cover.  Some dampstaining to margin, tiny tears and tiny chips to some pages, not affecting the text or illustrations.  Aeg. A very good copy.  According to  Simon Nowell-Smith, The House of Cassell 1848-1958;
Cassell, Petter & Galpin became Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Co. in 1878 and changed again to Cassell and Company, LTD in 1883.  That would make the publication date between 1878 and 1883 for this volume.  A lovely production just the same. Dore illustrations in near fine condition, except for the margin faint dampstaining.
