COOK, Captain James. THE EXPLORATIONS OF CAPTAIN JAMES COOK IN THE
PACIFIC.  New York: Limited Editions Club 1957. Quarto (8" x  11-1/4")
bound  with  a kangaroo hide spine and tapa fabric sides made  by  the
women  of  Tonga with sacred Australian aborigine designs  burnt  into
both  the spine and boards. Copy #1021 of 1500 with a frontispiece  in
color  after  a plaque by Flaxman and with illustrations  by  Geoffrey
Ingleton.  A  completely Australian production edited by  A.  Grenfell
Price  and  designed  by Douglas A. Dunstan. Printed  at  the  Griffin
Press,  Adelaide,  Australia.  SIGNED  by   the  illustrator  and  the
designer  on  the colophon page. Minor rubbing to the soft leather  at
the  spine tips but much nicer than usually found. Monthly Letter laid
in. Close to Fine in a Fine slipcase.                          $250.00
