"John Trumbull -Museum Architect"

By Theodore Sizer. [Unstated, but printed in 1940, undoubtedly by the
Walpole Society, as the style is comparable to their other offprints of
the period].

"A Paper read at the 30th Annual Meeting of the Walpole Society on May
18th, 1940 ... by Theodore Sizer, Director of the Yale University Art
Gallery (successor of the Trumbull Gallery". The story of the Trumbull
Gallery, designed by the great painter to hose the collection of his own
works he was giving to Yale. Oh, but there was so much more to the story
than those bare facts might suggest! Uncommon.

Softcover. 6.5"x9.5", 16 pages, 1 black & white illustration. Unbound- it
appears that the string binding was neatly removed so it could be
three-punched and put into a notebook. A little light soil. Inscribed by
Sizer- "To G.H.H. from T.S. June 1941". $60.00
