Arguably the most important patent case in the history of Photography. The basis of amateur photography, the flexible film. Movies, amateur photography, all were possible because of the invention of rolled film. Kodak ended up paying $5 million for past infringement and to license the future use.

This set was Phillips Abbott's copy, there's much annotation in the margins by Abbott in Defendants Pleadings and Proofs. While my current research does not present proof of Phillips Abbott's role in the case, he did advise Ansco in re patents, and the possible patent problems they might encounter or not encounter in bringing cameras etc to market, on a regular basis, as we have a few of his patent reports in inventory.

Bound in cloth with black and red leather labels. Ansco company imprinted on spine label.
