17 illustrations and charts (some folding). Sm. 8vo. Three quarter 
tan morocco   over marbled boards, spine tooled in gilt and blind, 
top edge gilt, marbled endpapers (hardback).   First French edition. 
Series: Bibliotheque de l'industriel. Traduit de la seconde edition 
americaine (New York 1916) par A. Blandin, ingenieur des mines. 
Intro. par C. Bertrand  Thompson. Henry Laurence Gantt (1861-1919) is 
best known for his development of the Gantt  chart which was 
revolutionary in its time and is still used today. In this important 
work he advocates the efficient utilization of labor through the use 
of the task and bonus system monitored in Gantt charts (as opposed to 
Taylor's piece work system). A very good+ mainly unopened   (uncut) 
copy, leaves browning, with tear along fore edge of one leaf, in a 
slightly rubbed fine  binding.  [35067]   $150.00

U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate 
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can 
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $4.00 for 
the first book and $1.50 for each additional volume. Books are 
normally shipped Media Mail. For international orders, postage is 
calculated individually. All books may be returned in original 
condition for any reason within two weeks with prior notification.
