1762. First edition. 4to. (2),88,(2)pp. Plus 79 copper engraved plates 
(complete), engraved by Mlle. Raimbau. Elaborately copper engraved allegorical 
title after J. B. Piauger. Text illus. with woodcut head & tail pieces and a 
drawing of "Diamant du Roi." Nicely bound in modern blue morocco, gilt, red &
 black calf labels. Inner hinges reinforced with binder's tape. A.e.g. 
Title lightly soiled, small repair at tip of bottom corner, and a rubber 
ownership ownership signature in top blank margin. Some occasional soiling to text &
 plates.     $4,500.00
The plates depict designs for royal & military orders, ring, pendants,
