      Scholarly but very readable study of the pamphlet "Miscegenation: The 
Theory of the Blending of the Races, Applied to the American White Man and 
Negro," and the sensation it caused upon its release in 1864. The anonymous 
author of the booklet was David G. Croly. The present study includes a 
section of very informative notes and references, and the title page of the 
original work is reproduced here in facsimile. Publisher's notice laid in. 
Bound in red cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine and upper board. A 
few minor extremity rubs....... $95.00
