[Thumb bible]. HISTORY OF THE BIBLE.
Cooperstown: H. & E. Phinney, 1834. Full calf, miniature (4 x 5 cm), x,
[11]-192 pages, woodcuts.
      The inch-long history of the Bible, as proclaimed by an old folded
newsclipping laid in. There are several woodcut portraits and biblical
scenes. Bound in original calf with faded gilt spine titling, wear to
extremities. Possibly lacking preliminary blank. Small holes in board fore
edges may also indicate that there was a fore edge clasp at one time. Text
mildly browned........ $100
