frontispiece portrait and 2 folding facsimiles. Grolier 100 Books Famous
in English Literature 63; Pottle 85; Shaw & Shoemaker 12184. Tasteful
bookplate on the front free endpaper of each volume. Slight loss of
leather to some of the covers. Near Fine and attractive set.
Considered by many to be the greatest biography in the English
