Original blue cloth stamped in orange (?), ends of spine lightly rubbed, inner joint starting to open. (There are also copies with a pictorial cover.) Complete with all illustrations showing the stages of the battle between the red and blue armies, complete with miniature soldiers, canons, buildings, &c, and some showing adults on the ground arranging their troops. Wells is jokingly described on the title page as "the author of . . . minor and inferior works."  Uncommon.   $250.00
