Brilliantly illustrated by NATALIA GONCHAROVA who was a designer for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes . 
Published by Editions De La Sirene, Paris, 1921. 
All text in French in this French translation and interpretation of Pushkin’s famous work. Decorated Board Folder is separated at the spine and doesn’t have any ties (are they needed?). There is some light fading (see scans) to the boards. 
SIX (6) unbound and unopened gatherings as issued. 
The contents are extremely bright and unmarked. 
The edition was limited to 599 copies of which 528 copies were numbered from 71 to 599. This copy is #243. 
Portfolio size is 9” x 11.75”. 
Ten full page illustrations and numerous other illustrations and decorations. ENTIRELY HAND COLORED in POCHOIR color . . This important work is noted in MOMA’s, The Russian Avant-Garde Book 1910-1934 (Published 2002) number 338.
