publisher's ads. Illustrated with a copper engraved folding map in Vol. I. Cont. calf,
a bit worn, but nicely rebacked in period style; gilt tooled spine with red
morocco label. $2,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
The "best edition" containing all 4 parts, a greatly expanded text from the
1671 first edition. Part II was printed by William Godbid. Part III, "A
Continuation of the Memoires of Monsieur Bernier... Wherein Is Contained an
Exact Description of Dehli and Agra..." has an imprint date of 1672. Part IV,
"A Continuation of the Historie... Particularly a Relation of the Voyage Made
A. 1664 by the Great Mogol Aurenge Zebe, Marching with His Army from Dehly
to Lahor... to Bember... to the Kingdom of Kachemire..." is printed by "S.
G." (no date). Wing B2044 and B2042 (for Parts III & IV).
