4 folding tables [i.e. 7 folding plates total], and several text woodcuts.
Cont. speckled calf, gilt decorated edges, nicely rebacked, green morocco
spine label. Armorial bookplate of North Library on front pastedown and with
the same armorial device blind stamped at the top of the first 3 leaves.

A very nice copy, but it may be lacking one folding plate. The 1st edition
of 1696 had 1 folding plate. The 2nd edition of 1700 had 7 folding plates,
and the 4th edition of 1734 had 7 folding plates, but the OCLC record for the
1714 3rd edition states "8 folding plates." There are 4 auction records for
the 1714 edition, only two of which give a plate count: "2 folding plates"
and "5 folding plates." To further complicate things, Bromley's THE
CLOCKMAKER'S LIBRARY #259 (the 1714 ed.) states "3 folding plates. 2 folding tables"
(i.e. 5 folding plates). All editions are scarce.
