15") volumes of this most elegant edition of Pope's works printed in 
large type and with wide margins. Bound in contemporary sprinkled calf 
with maroon and black morocco labels, gilt-decorated spine and borders. 
List of subscribers at the end of the third volume. Frequent and 
occasionally severe offsetting to the text as is often the case with 
this title; a few pages darkened. Moderate wear to corners, a few nicks 
to the covers, joints tender with those on the second volume partly 
split but still fairly tight. Still a Near Fine copy of an impressive 
work.         $850.00
