engraved frontispiece and 82 copper engraved plates on 45 leaves (32
printed on both recto & verso). Almost all the plates have finely
executed views with the appropriate geometrical diagrams in the sky
above them. Large copper engraved headpiece. Cont. calf, somewhat worn,
gilt decorated spine compartments & brown calf spine label. Head & foot
of spine chipped, corners worn and front hinge rubbed but holding
nicely. Small hole in blank portion of title page (where a previous
owner's name was crudely removed) and with a cont. inked ownership
signature nearby. Old, faded water stain at top margin of first 3
