separate title page (the first one printed in red & black). Part 1 has a copper 
engraved frontispiece and 56 plates, and Part 2 ("Paradiessgartlein") has a 
frontispiece and 8 plates, for a total of 66 plates (complete). Cont. calf, 
spine ornately gilt, with green morocco label. Hinges somewhat rubbed, but 
quite sound, and attractive.        $475.00 (trade discount allowed)
Arndt's two popular Christian emblem books bound together. The plates all 
have engraved titles, and many represent quite curious subjects, depicting a 
printing press, a large rocket, beehives, eyeglasses, etc.
