frontispiece and numerous text woodcuts. Tipped in is an original leaf from the 
first Latin edition of the Nuremberg Chronicle, 1493: this leaf with 12 woodcut 
portraits and a large woodcut of a group of ecclesiastics. Edition limited 
to 280 copies with a single original leaf (total issue of 300). Orig. brown 
calf with red calf spine label, over marbled boards. A few chips & rubbing
