(12),190,(201)-404,(4),(405)-600,(22)pp. Complete. 20th century 1/2 brown calf, 
gilt, over cloth, extremities slightly rubbed. Head of title with a short 
clean tear and a couple of stains. Minor browning and staining throughout, as 
usual, but a well-margined and sound copy.     $1,500.00 (trade discount 
allowed)
The second edition (first was published in 1577). Meredith Hanmer was an 
assiduous scholar of the early church and this English translation is his 
major work. STC 10573.
