soiled), and 100 fine copper engraved text vignettes. Rebound in modern full

Faerno (d. 1561) was commissioned by Pope Pius IV, in 1550 to compile a
selection of Aesopian fables. It was first published in 1563. Perrault's
(1628-1703) translation into French verse was published in 1699. Cohen/de Ricci
