Edition. Acclaimed short story writer's first book and only novel, a 
tale of a Marine detachment on an aircraft carrier. Dubus's stories have 
been made into the films IN THE BEDROOM and WE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE. 
This copy is SIGNED by the author on the title page and additionally 
INSCRIBED and SIGNED on the half-title page and dated 13 July 1993. 
Slight sunning at spine tips. Near Fine in a Very Good dustwrapper with
