BURROUGHS, John. AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT SIGNED: "Bird Life in an Old Apple
Tree" np, [circa 1881] . An incomplete working draft of his "Bird Life
in an Old Apple Tree," with several corrections in ink or pencil; 12
pages, mostly 5" x 8" with one slightly larger but folded to size,
written on one side of each sheet. Consists of pages 1-2, 7, 9-14, 16-18

octogenarian apple tree including bluebirds, woodpeckers, and
flycatchers. Minor smudging to signature, toning overall, one leaf
inexpertly repaired with cello tape. Near Fine. $2,500.00
