Quinto Volume de'Suoi Lavori... Venice: Lessandro de' Vecchi. 1620. 4to. 
Title leaf, plus 17 (of 19) leaves, all leaves except folio 20, printed on 
rectos only (i.e. leaf 20 printed on both sides). Large woodcut on title page 
and each leaf illustrated with woodcut plates of lace and lace making 
patterns. Beautifully bound in orig. red morocco, with two very ornately gilt 
compartments and a large gilt central ornament on both covers.     $1,500.00

The very rare part V of Vecellio's CORONA DELLE NOBILE E VIRTUOSE DAME, one 
of the great works on the pattern designs for Renaissance lace making. All 
the parts were separately printed. Although two editions were printed of 
Part V, in 1596, under the original title "Corona delle Nobili.. Libro Quinto" 
and in 1620 under "Ornamento Nobile" both are extremely rare. All copies at 
auction (ABPC) recorded of Vecellio's work are Parts I-IV only. 
Unfortunately, this copy in an exceptional binding, lacks two conjugate leaves (8 and
