Greetings Booklovers,
We are pleased to offer:
~
(No. 9180 ) [Chickering, Frances E.]. CLOUD CRYSTALS; A SNOW-FLAKE ALBUM.
COLLECTED AND EDITED BY A LADY.

An interesting blend of scientific observation, literary expression,

scientific paper by Charles Smallwood on the subject of the relation of
atmospheric electricity to the formation of snow crystals. Literary
contributors include James Russell Lowell, Robert Burns, Ralph Waldo
Emerson, Increase Mather, Shakespeare, William Cullen Bryant, Milton,
Tennyson, Gail Hamilton, and many others. Bound in leather over boards with
all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, spine and both boards stamped in gilt and
blind, raised bands on spine, and inside dentelles in gilt. Minor rubs to
extremities and along joints, slight oxidation to a few plates, otherwise
clean and tight....... $300.00
