bit darkened and with a small chip (1/2" x 1"). Remains of a hand-lettered 
paper label at head of spine. Cont. ownership inscription of "Christophori 
Rechlinger Augustani," dated 1601, on front free endpaper.     $850.00 (trade

The first Italian edition of this work which first appeared in Madrid and 
Lyon in 1599. Cardinal Toledo (1532-1596) was a noted theologian/philosopher, 
a disciple of Saint Augustine and Saint Thomas, and a champion of 
Aristotelian logic. Not in Adams or Palau.
