Tappan and Dennet. 1843. xx,408pp. Illustrated with an added engraved title 
(with a vignette portrait of a Hawaiian chief), an engraved frontispiece, 23 
plates, and an engraved folding map of the Hawaiian Islands (some foxing). 
Bound in full 19th c. calf, gilt, with brown calf spine labels and gilt 
dentelles. Some light rubbing, small chip at foot of spine, hinges starting but 
still sound. Added engraved title with light offset browning from the 
frontispiece. Front pastedown with an engraved armorial bookplate featuring an
