consisting of ads for other medical books by the publisher. Shaw & 
Shoemaker 11289. Wilson G. Smillie, in his PUBLIC HEALTH, ITS PROMISE 
FOR THE FUTURE, calls this title "the first American text on preventive 
medicine that we have found. It was largely concerned with personal 
hygiene and particularly with diet." Includes a chapter on the use and 
misuse of opium. Occasional foxing to text, title page a little browned. 
Some rubbing to covers with small gouge to spine. Very Good. 		$750.00
