Fromond's (1587-1653) text first appeared in 1627. It is a study of meteors
and comets, winds, seas, earthquakes, etc., and went through numerous
editions in the 17th century. The second part is an essay on comets written with
his collaborator Thomas Feyens (or Fienus); the third part is a curious text
on the mysterious "purple rain" that fell on Brussels, October 6, 1646.
