Double column text. Each volume with an added engraved title with a
vignette (dated 1839), and a steel engraved frontispiece portrait.
Finely bound by White in full red morocco, elaborately decorated
dentelles and spines, brown calf spine labels. A.e.g. Hinges lightly
rubbed. Housed in a custom made heavy cardboard slipcase with edges
stained red. Large engraved armorial bookplates on front pastedowns and
a smaller, later bookplate on front free endpapers. $350.00 (trade
