(10),284pp. Copper engraved frontispiece. Cont. full polished calf with
red calf spine label. Very minor chip at foot of spine. Small split
near top of rear hinge but holding soundly. Previous owner's signature
removed from front pastedown.   $375.00 (trade discount allowed)
The first edition to be published in Edinburgh of this popular book
that was first translated into English in 1707. Included at rear are
the "Instructions for a Governess" who would, of course, be the one to
apply these principles.
