For auction on eBay, ending tonight:
The very scarce, antediluvian novel, SEOLA by Mrs. J. G. Smith (Ann Eliza Brainerd). Published by Lee & Shepard, 1878. This is the
original 1878 edition on which the revised 1924 novel, ANGELS AND WOMEN is based. Both novels are of great interest to Jehovah's
Witnesses and members of the Watchtower Society.
The story is presented as the journal of Seola, wife of Japeth, son of Noah.
Seola's journal gives detailed accounts of events leading up to the great biblical flood. The curious story is populated
with biblical characters, fallen angels, Devas (angelic spirits in human form), and Darvands (the offspring of the angelic beings and mortal females). Said by the author
to be a fantasy, there are many who believe that portions of the story are supported by real and ancient texts.
