Old water stain to the first two leaves, and light soiling to final
leaves. $1,250.00 (trade discount allowed)
A posthumous work (Herbert died in 1648) seen into print by Isaac
Vossius. It is an early work on comparative religion, and gives, in
David Hume's words, "a natural history of religion." It is quite scarce
in the trade, only 1 copy appearing at auction since 1985.
