Rousseau, Jean-Jacques. [MELANGES]. Geneva: No pub. 1781. 4 vols. Each
vol. with its own title page (see annotation below). Cont. mottled
calf, rebacked some time ago, orig. gilt decorated spine strips
(rubbed) laid down. Later blind stamped brown morocco spine
labels.	$350.00 (trade discount allowed)
Vol. I contains letters to, "Christophe de Beaumont, Archeveque de
Paris" and "M. D'Alembert, de l'Academie Francoise." Vol. II is,
"Lettres Ecrites de la Montagne." Vol. III is, "Discours sur Cette
Question: Quelle Est la Vertu la Plus Necessaire aux Heros..." and Vol.
IV is, "Traduction du Premiere Livre de l'Histoire de Tacite" (with
facing pages in Latin and French), and "Fragmens pour un Dictionnaire
des Termes d'Usage en Botanique." "MELANGES" is the title which appears
on the half-title page. These 4 volumes are from a collected works of
Rousseau, 1781.
