capital. Gilt tooled 17th c. red morocco, a bit rubbed, spine label
lacking. Title page a bit soiled and with a small paper repair to blank
fore-margin. Engraved bookplates on front pastedown (one of Winthrop
Sargent the American historian and lawyer, and with his early ownership

This important work on political life by Gosliki (1530-1607) has been
identified as one of Shakespeare's sources for Hamlet (i.e. the
character of the king's counselor, Polonius).
