First edition. Original blue cloth stamped in gold, excellent copy in a slightly worn dust wrapper. Many illustrations. SIGNED INSCRIPTION ON HALF TITLE: "To Hilda with my [heart warm ?] good wishes from her friend Eleanor Roosevelt,  Xmas 1961." (Hilda Watrous ? -  author of "In League with Eleanor: Eleanor Roosevelt and the League of Women Voters 1921-1962."  "[Watrous] was active in politics as a long time member of the League of Women Voters of N. Y. State . . . [&] was the first person to serve as the official historian of the LWV - NYS."  (Signed copies of this complete edition of Eleanor Roosevelt's autobiographical writings are rather scarce, possibly because she died less than a year after  inscribing this copy. We find only one auction record [in 2001, $1300.00.] and only one copy on line, [$1125.00.])
