46-56pp. in the original printed tan wrappers, somewhat soiled.
Wrappers with small chips at fore-edges, and spines. This set with No.
II, MODEL PRISONS, and No. III, DOWNING STREET, inscribed by Carlyle at
the top of the half-title, “Jane Wilson, from the author.” Housed in a
folding green cloth box.    $1,250.00 (trade discount allowed)
Quite scarce in the original parts. The final pamphlet (No. VIII)
contains, bound in at back, a title-page and table of contents for the
