We are offering one 30-volume set of Works, the 1st American edition of The Moonstone, and two different early reprints of that title. 

THE MOONSTONE. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1868.1st US edition. Illustrated. Tall 8vo. (9-1/4 x 5-3/4 inches); 223 pages, in publisher’s green cloth binding stamped in blind crosshatch design with gilt lettering on spine. Contemporary owners scrawl on front free endpaper. Four pages of publishers ads precede the frontis and title. Profusely illustrated with evocative wood engravings. Bottom edges and tips worn, covers a little dulled, otherwise a tight and respectable copy. [Wolff 1368a.]   $650

THE MOONSTONE. A NOVEL. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1874. [Harper's Illustrated Library Edition]. 8vo. in green cloth with blind frames and gilt lettering. Publisher's device in blind on rear cover. Brown endpapers. Facsimile dedication "To the American People."  With same woodcut illustrations as the 1st American edition at frontis, text and plates.  With 491pages plus 12 pages of publisher's ads at rear. Light edgewear and a little rubbed at ends of spine.  $65

THE MOONSTONE.  New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1912. 2 Vols. 12mo’s in blue cloth with gilt lettering on spines. Top edges gilt. Contemporary dated signature of former owner, and collector's name on front free endpapers. Title page printed in red and black. Small puckering in cloth along hinges on both volumes. A little rubbing at tips and bottoms of spines, otherwise a very good set of this uncommon edition.  $55

[Set - 30 Vols] THE WORKS OF WILKIE COLLINS. New York: Peter Fenelon Collier, (n.d.) [c. 1875-1900?]. Complete. 12mo’s in blue green cloth stamped in gilt and blind on spines. All edges with decorative speckling. Numerous woodcut illustrations and, Vol. 1 with frontis portrait of Collins. Vol. 2 with 1-1/2" x 1" closed slit on spine. Covers a little rubbed with light soiling, some corners bumped and a few inner hinges tender, but overall a very good set.  $750
