A classic Victorian Erotic fantasy, written in the late 19th century. When British Naval officer Lord George Herbert is shipwrecked off the coast of Morocco he is found by 9 beautiful, lonely concubines in a Turkish bordello. A erotic classic banned for seventy-five years comes to life with the sensual escapades of these nine beauties and one handsome Englishman.The women tell their tales of how the were captured and taken to the Harem, and the Lord Herbert recounts his own sensual experiences from the time of boyhood. THE HORN BOOK A GIRL'S GUIDE TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL How to Raise Love. London: Erotica Biblion Society, 1923. A sensual graphic guide to the pleasures and science of physical love, as introduced and described by two young lovers. In three chapters of "Dialogue," with five black and white erotic illustrations by Malay. Explicit erotic literature reprint from the 1899 Second Edition  by The Erotica Biblion Society  Originally published 1898, "The Horn Book, Modern Studies In The Science of Stroking," Société des Bibliophiles Étrangers, Paris. 
Three quarter black cloth well rubbed to boads and extremities, fraying and loss spine ends and upper board edge, quarter red stamped paper board with holly berry decorations, chipping and rubbing to edges of paper. Four tears to spine cloth. Tiny ding to front board that through with a small puncture of first 14 pages, leaving a small impression through to page 57. One illustration and a few pages are affected by puncture, however it is small, text is readable. Front e.p. torn, blank  f.e.p  shows pencil erasure. First few pages have creasing to lower edge, including first illustration. Hinges cracked, text block firm. Text and illustrations clean and bright.  One illustration has 1/4 closed edge tear, not affecting illustration, bumping of edges. Book in archival polyester clear wraps. 153 pp., sm 8 vo. $75.00 PP  Good

The very explicit adventures of a wealthy young girl. Beginning sometime after her 15th birthday she details her  adolescent observances, and pleasures. Once sent to Austria to finish her musical education her journey in the strange, exotic world of erotica takes a life of it's own. Traveling throughout Europe she is surrounded by the creme of high society, royalty, and an assortment of sensory entertainment. 
Marbled tan and green boards, over three quarter purple cloth. Black title panel to spine, gold lettering. Mild rubbing of extremities and spine. Few pages have flea bite chips or minute closed tears to edges. Clean plates and text, no inscriptions. sm 4 to 380 pp. VG+  $85.00 pp
