An early edition of this work, first published anonymously in 1651 by
John Rowland (1606-1660). It is an attack on Milton’s PRO POPULO
ANGLICANO DEFENSIO. Milton considered it too badly written to merit a
direct reply but did rebut it through his nephew, John Phillips.
