72pp. Plus 36 copper engraved plates (each with a tissue guard), and a
folding map. Engraved title page with a vignette. Cont. 1/2 morocco
over floral embossed gray cloth, morocco gilt tooled label on front
cover. Finely rebacked, with the original spine strip laid back down.
One plate lightly foxed, the rest sharp & bright.   $600.00 (trade
discount allowed)
A preliminary leaf notes, "Visitors are particularly requested to
observe, that this being a Local Production, it.. will prove A Novelty
in any other part of the kingdom – because it has never been in the
hands either of Hawkers or the London Booksellers." Two earlier
editions (the first is 1826) had 25 and 30 plates only.
