The Booksellers' League, First Edition, 1905.

Leather spine with title label, brown paper boards. Gilt top page edge. Blue and gilt embossed seal of the League on title page. Spine leather is rubbed, drying, and has a few tears and gouges. Binding sound. Interior is unmarked, except where there is some tanning from newspaper articles cut out (publisher obits and the like, included). Previous owner was John H. Dingman (1839-1912), of Charles Scribner's Sons; his name and business address handwritten on brown paper and attached to front pastedown and his business card is laid in.  244pp. Small 8vo. $85 

Founded in 1895, the Booksellers' League of New York was an organization aimed at promoting a professional and collaborative spirit among members of the book trade. Its founding officers were J. N. Wing of Charles Scribner's Sons, A. Growoll of Publishers' Weekly, and C. E. Savage, of G. P. Putnam's Sons.
