(pages 485-492). Plus 17 hand-colored botanical plates. Further
illustrated with 97 text woodcuts of anatomical drawings, some
full-page. Copper engraved "frontispiece," a "Patent" certificate
authorizing the use of the preparations outlined in this work, in
return for the princely sum of $20.00. This copy lacks the portrait of
Samuel Thomson. 19th c. 1/2 calf (lightly rubbed), black morocco spine
label, over pebbled boards. $350.00 (trade discount allowed)
Only the "Twelfth" & "Thirteenth" editions were ever printed, so our
copy, in actuality, is the 2nd edition. AMERICAN IMPRINTS (1841) #5133.
