(48),576pp. Index. Cont. roll-tooled pigskin. Old repair at head of
spine and an old oil stain at fore-edge of front cover. Orig. brass &
leather clasps & catches still intact. Minor worming at top blank
margin of first 2 and final 2 leaves (text unaffected). Old
bookseller's description mounted on verso of front free endpaper, and a
partial early 20th c. private library label on front
pastedown.  $1,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
Probably the last edition printed during the author's lifetime (d.
1555). Book I deals with medicine and alchemy; and Book II with all
kinds of inventions: on writing and printing, as well as with books and
libraries, etc., etc. BL German STC p. 889.
