A sermon preached by Lollius in the court of Pope Innocent VIII on the
circumcision of Jesus. Lollius, known for his anti-Semitic writings,
authored another sermon on the deceitfulness and treachery of the Jews
("Contra Judaeorum Perfidium"). He was in the right company with
Innocent VIII, one of the worst Popes in history, who fathered 16
illegitimate children and who, it is said, "slept almost continuously.
When awake his favorite occupation consisted in persecuting the Jews."
Goff L 275. BMC IV p. 93. Hain 10180.
