Nilsson, [1922-23]. First Edition. Folio (11" x 14-3/4") complete with
10 individual parts in decorated wraps and glassine housed in the
original decorated publisher's folder with silk ties. The French text is
accompanied by 100 hand-colored pochoir plates with the front and rear
covers of each of the 10 parts also in pochoir. Covered in this, one of
the more desirable volumes in the series, are costumes of China, Japan,
Egypt, Assyria, Persia, India, Greece, Rome, and the Orient. The
detailed illustrations depict full costumes as well as component parts
including hats, jewelry, etc. A lovely presentation and valuable
reference. Folder and glassine wrappers with minor wear; contents Fine.
