428,(8)pp. Copper engraved frontispiece and 4 fine plates by Langueil
after Marillier. Cont. red morocco, ornately gilt spine. A.e.g. This
copy printed on a light blue tinted paper. Binding extremities a bit
rubbed, but a very nice copy.   $500.00 (trade discount allowed)
A frequently printed book by Barbou in the 18th century, but in
numerous variants: different editions, illustrations and, in the case
of the printings edited by Joseph Valart, whether or not his
"dissertation sur l'auteur" is included (pp. 396-428 in our edition).
